Evergreen

Located inside a verdant garden with meandering pathways, Evergreen House is composed of a central spine of stone, with open spaces either side and strategically placed three-storey voids, that pool light into the series of small, foliage-fringed courtyards.

Evergreen was designed with a commitment to wellbeing and heliotropia, a Greek word meaning turning towards the sun. Every design decision focused on a deep connection with sunlight and nature.

Surrounded by a verdant garden with meandering pathways, the entrance to the house was placed to the side to allow for a journey of discovery that moves through and under a green wonderland.

Designed with a commitment to heliotropia and wellbeing through a deep connection with nature, Evergreen is surrounded by a verdant garden, landscaped courtyards and meandering pathways.

The entrance to the house was placed to the side to allow for a journey of discovery that moves through and under a green wonderland. Transparent hollows fill the house with natural light and create a connection to the landscape. While atrium courtyards overflowing with foliage and green are viewed at every turn. As you move through the house, every vista is designed to view the landscape outdoors, drawing the eye through the space with ease.

To further connect the interior with the landscape, Internal and external floor finishes have been matched to blur the line between inside and out. Here, spaces are flexible, zoned to be separate and private, or opened up and completely connected.
